Find a plan that fits your home

Compare annual whole-home cost, not just the cheapest charging window. Include supply charges, peak rates, feed-in tariffs, demand charges, subscriptions, free-period caps and battery/VPP conditions. Availability depends on your address, meter and equipment.

From simple schedules to home automation

1. Use the controls you have

Schedule EV charging and suitable appliances for your confirmed low-cost window. Pre-cool before the evening peak while keeping rooms comfortable. Account for the total load when several appliances run together.

2. Add a physical button pusher

A SwitchBot Bot physically presses a compatible wall-controller button. It can suit some non-infrared aircon controllers; an infrared hub alone cannot operate a controller that has no IR receiver. Check button travel, force, clearance and mounting first. A hub may be needed for remote access or cloud automations.

A toggle button does not prove whether the aircon is on. Add state feedback where possible, preserve manual access and avoid rapid compressor cycling.

3. Coordinate with Home Assistant

Use compatible tariff, solar, battery, temperature and charging data to control flexible loads. Add comfort limits, battery reserve, stale-data checks, notifications and manual overrides. Use one controller for each device to avoid conflicts with a retailer’s VPP automation.

Use manufacturer-supported charging and appliance controls. Do not switch EV charging or hardwired aircon through an ordinary smart plug. Have any electrical changes undertaken by a licensed electrician.

A practical custom fit

A mount for your aircon controller.

JP226Prints can make custom mounts to position a SwitchBot Bot on a compatible non-infrared aircon wall controller. Provide the controller model, clear photographs and measurements so button position, clearance and manual access can be assessed. Fitment is assessed for each controller.

Two prompts. One household profile.

Compare your plan. Then explore automation.

First ask AI whether a different energy plan would suit your household. Use the second prompt separately for automation ideas to reduce energy costs.

Inputs stay in this page’s memory and are not submitted or saved. Omit account numbers, NMI and street address. No AI runs on this page.

1. Your current supplier and plan

Choices show selected supplier products and an option to enter any other plan. They are not postcode eligibility results. Verify the exact tariff and current availability.

2. Solar, batteries and inverters

Leave equipment blank if you do not have it. Battery capacity is in kWh; inverter power is in kW.

3. Loads and current automation

Prompt 1 · Choose a suitable plan

Would a better energy plan suit me?

Compares your current plan with alternatives using your existing equipment and automation.

Prompt 2 · Reduce usage costs

What could I automate?

Suggests practical automation ideas based on your tariff, equipment and current schedules.
